Prof. Naeem brings with him a wealth of academic and professional experience. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company Ltd, he served as a respected lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of Abuja. His academic journey is a testament to dedication and excellence—having graduated at the top of his class, he was retained as a Graduate Assistant in 2007, steadily rising through the academic ranks to achieve the title of Professor of Applied Geophysics in 2023.
A passionate advocate for scientific advancement and industrial development, Prof. Naeem is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP). He holds memberships in both the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) based in the United States, reflecting his active engagement in both national and international scientific communities.
His leadership at Ajaokuta Steel comes at a critical time for Nigeria’s industrial sector, and his attendance at the launch is a strong endorsement of the event’s vision and significance.
